Conformity assessment (essential requirements / Machinery Directive) should be carried out e.g. in case of:

No EU/EC declaration for production lines/machines placed on the market or put into service in the territory of the Republic of Poland after May 1, 2004.
Implementation of significant changes to the machine / production line.
Integration of machines / production lines.

In addition, all lines must be approved for use (minimum requirements / Tool Directive) in the target location (also after relocation or purchase of a production line / machine).

The manufacturer of the machine is not responsible for allowing the machine to work at the place of use.

Significant risks often result from incorrect machine integration.

The added protections may create new risks. A post-retrofitting assessment should be carried out.

Safety system tests, including stop time measurements (run-down), should be performed cyclically.

A properly performed machine safety assessment significantly reduces the risk of accidents and increases the awareness of hazards on the machine.
